Larry Williams, our Associate Broker, is a third generation Realtor. Like his father and grandfather before him, he entered real estate with a strong ethical and customer service background - it is the foundation and core of his business philosophy.

He says, “I’m a ‘matchmaker‘, not some kind of slick salesman. I believe real estate is just a matter of finding out what a client really wants, and then figuring out a way to satisfy those needs.”

Larry brings a unique blend of personal and professional experience to the industry.

Regarding life on the Olympic Peninsula, Larry often quips “I was born and raised in a small farm town --- called San Jose, California. I have a tremendous appreciation for quality of life, growth management, and affordable housing issues.”  He also calls himself "an adopted Washingtonian" and will tell you "I was living in Tacoma when Seattle's Smith Tower was the tallest building in the State."

Larry served his country during the Viet Nam era, spending nearly 5 years in the Coast Guard as both a seaman and medic. He has worked for the Employment Security Department, matching clients with available jobs, and taught in a small rural elementary school in the desert country of Eastern Washington for another 5 years.

He has two Bachelor’s degrees, one in K-12 education, and the other being a combination of planning, energy, and environmental studies, and has been directly affiliated with the housing industry since 1980. “I went to work for a local electric utility as a residential energy analyst. After 12 years of crawling through homes, helping owners with weatherization work, it was time to stand up and walk through them instead.”

Larry received his real estate license in June, 1993. By June, 1995 he had earned both his G.R.I. designation, and passed the state clock hour and testing requirements to receive his Broker’s license. “I know a lot about houses, and it is always a thrill to help someone find their ‘first home‘ or their ‘dream home‘. But you are just as likely to find me out in the brush running a boundary on a large parcel of land.”

If you are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable agent who places your needs above his, then you need to give Larry a call.
